Heart Disease Genes

Scientists co-funded by the BHF have shed new light on the genes behind coronary heart disease (CHD).
Slight variations in genes, which are passed on through families, could help increase the risk of developing CHD.
The researchers found five new genetic ‘hotspots’ in the DNA of some heart patients.
