The Amazing Kar de Ologist

by John - 23:01 on 10 July 2012

[Warning – not for readers of a sensitive or overly delicate nature]

It was entertainment day at the Heart Failure Forum and our specialist heart failure nurses had booked the famous Dutch hypnotist - ‘The Amazing Kar de Ologist’.
Heart Failure patients flocked from miles around to come and see this famed hypnotist do his stuff.
As he went to the front of the meeting room, he announced …
“Unlike most hypnotists who invite two or three people up on to the stage to be put into a trance, I intend to hypnotise each and every member of the audience. “

The excitement was almost electric as ‘The Amazing Kar de Ologist’ withdrew a beautiful antique jewel encrusted golden pocket watch from his coat pocket.
“I want each and every one of you to keep your eye on this priceless antique watch.
It's a very rare and special watch.
It has been in my family for six generations and faithfully handed down from father to son.”

He began to slowly swing the watch gently back and forth, back and forth whilst quietly chanting …
“Watch the watch, watch the watch, watch the watch ...”

The crowd of heart failure patients became mesmerized as they watched the watch sway back and forth …
“Watch the watch, watch the watch, watch the watch ...”

The light seemed to gleam, sparkle and dance off its solid gold and jewel encrusted surface…
“Watch the watch, watch the watch, watch the watch ...”

Hundreds of pairs of eyes followed the swaying watch …
“Watch the watch, watch the watch, watch the watch ...”

Until, suddenly – it slipped from the hypnotist's fingers and the priceless antique watch fell to the floor, breaking into a hundred little pieces...
“Oh Sh*t”  cried the Hypnotist.

It took the heart failure nurses, three days to clean up the meeting room.
