Spare A Thought For The Poor Zebra Fish

As heart failure patients we will all be familiar with the British Heart Foundations little Zebra Fish whose ability to repair its own damaged heart is at the centre of the BHF’s current ‘Mending Broken Hearts’ research programme.

Now these poor little overworked Zebra Fish will have yet more scientists prying into their private lives.

Researchers at New Zealand’s Otago University have just been awarded £220,000 to study zebra fish in an attempt to find out why some females are attracted to older males.
 

 Why did Catherine Zeta Jones fall for Micheal Douglas (with a 25 year age gap)?
Why did Princess Charlene fall for Prince Albert II of Monaco (with a 20 year age gap)?
Why did Katie Holmes fall for Tom Cruise (with a 16 year age gap)?
It is hoped that the zebra fish will hold the answers.
