The Zone

Zone - a beautiful area of Lombardy in northern Italy set amongst the pines of the southern slopes of the Alps; renown for its excellent cuisine and wine. (geography)

... but now ... there is a NEW Zone

Zone (Raigmore) - Perhaps this should have been included in the NEWS section. For if you did not already know, Raigmore Hospital has introduced a new signage system, ostensibly to help patients find their way around the corridoors.

The entire hospital has now been divided into twelve different 'Zones'.

These 'Zones' with their 85 different departments, units, wards, clinics and offices are all listed on a giant hoarding outside the main entrance. So any poor visitor to Raigmore now has to stand outside in the freezing bl**dy cold and wet trying to decipher which 'Zone' they should be heading for.

And if things werent bad enough outside, just wait till you get inside.   In one corridoor alone, along its 200m length there are some 300 signs.
