It had been just another mind numbing evening glued to the box, at the 'ad' break I thought of getting up and making a coffee when ... Initially it seemed to be just another TV advert but in the sixty seconds of its transmission I was left transfixed and transformed in jaw dropping wonder and admiration at what I had just experienced. It was a minute of sheer poetic grace, of extreme artistic beauty and pure romantic elegance. That hint of romance as she initially embraces him. then the finesse and grace of the lift as her feet rise from the surface and the elegance of both dancers as he turns and spins lifting her ever higher, all this set to a sublime piece of classical music. For me, that minute changed the ubiquitous and mundane sales technique that is the TV advert and lifted it to a new and unimagined level - the level of pure art. Judge for yourself - p> It is an advert for, naturally, Air France, only the French could produce something with that style, that elegance, that "je ne sais quoi". I certainly have to find out more.
