What Is A Blog

To some, a blog is nothing new, you may well publish your own blog or contribute regularly to one or two other blogs.  So please bear with me.

To others this will be your first experience of a blog, and you may well be asking what is a blog?

Technically it is a blend of the terms ‘web’ and ‘log’ to form the name ‘weblog’, which has been shortened to ‘blog’.
So it is a log; a series of entries which can be comments or opinions on topics of interest, descriptions of people or events.    Or it can be the sharing of other materials such as art, photos, music or video.

A blog has the additional ability to allow readers to leave their comments on any given article.    This allows users to reflect, share opinions, and discuss various topics.

This is your blog.
