Services Provided

Asthma
Nurse led clinics are run for all age groups, to monitor treatment, check inhaler technique and improve knowledge of the condition. We are now running additional asthma clinics to ensure eveyone is receiving the best possible care. Please ring to book.

 

Baby & Pre-School Immunisations

Please bring in your children for their immunisation programme. Appointments are either pre-booked through your baby clinic or you can book direct. IF you have any concerns about specific vaccines please call in to speak to the nurse or one of the GPs.

 

Well Woman & Smears
Local guidelines recommend all women have a smear every three years. All appropriate patients will be called to the surgery when due. woman clinic every  If you do not want your smear undertaken at the surgery we can provide you with details of other clinics in the area.

Blood Pressure & Cholesterol


Clinics are run at various times during the week to have these checked for your own peace of mind or as referred by your doctor. Even healthy people should periodically have their blood pressure checked.

 

 

DiabetesAppointments are available to all diabetic patients to monitor and control your condition. You will be referred to the clinic by either the hospital or the doctor.

 

 

Family Planning
Doctors offer contraceptive advice and pill prescriptions etc.

 

 

 

Heart Disease Clinic
Our nurse and doctors offer regular checks to monitor condition and effectiveness of treatment and to give advice.

 

Menopause / HRT Clinic
Our nurse will offer advice and information and has stocks of leaflets to give out.

 

 

Travel Vaccinations
This service is available to all patients. Please book an appointment with the nurse who will give advice and explain what is needed for destinations around the world.

 

 

Well Person Clinics


Offered to all new patients and on request, simply ask for a well person appointment with the nurse

 

Counselling Service

 The Sandwell Primary Care Counselling Service provides
 counselling sessions in the surgery on Mondays and Wednesdays. They are free and you      may wish to talk to the Doctors if you would like to access this service.

Counselling is also available on Fridays to patients with alcohol
dependence by prior appointment. This service is provided by Sandwell Aquarius Advice and Counselling Service.

This service requires a referral by your GP

 

Minor Surgery (eg removal of moles and skin legions)

We have a modern well equipped treatment room where the doctors perform minor surgery. A minor surgery and a cryocautery clinic is held monthly, for removal of warts and verrucas. Please consult one of the doctors if you feel you may need to take advantage of this service.

 

Phlebotomy

This service is available Mondays, Thursday and Friday mornings.

 

 

Private Medical Examinations
We can provide a range of non NHS services such as pre-employment medicals for HGV, PCV, taxi etc. When booking the appointment, it is important that you explain to the receptionist that it is for such an examination, as more time is needed than for a routine appointment

 

Stop Smoking Service
This is a free service available at the practice on a Friday afternoon. Your first appointment will last 1/2 hour and all subsiquent appointments will be for 15 minutes. If you would like to stop smoking speak to reception and book an appointment to see an adviser.
