STEPHENS FOOTSTEP CHALLENGE A Big hello from Stephen and his wife Pat, Thank you for your support - it is most appreciated ! This is our planned walk. Hopefully we raise both awareness of Cancer and lots of Cash for Local Cancer Charities! Stephen is being joined on this walk for all or part of the route by James ( Jim) Morrison, Phyl Campbell, Edward Haynes, David & Alison Downey,Alison & Johnathan Ness, Pat Masterman & Claire & Megan Gorst & Rachel Gorst , Sonja Dejik, Suzanne & Bjorn Otepka-Jasobsen & Sandra( Sandie) Mcleod & Eilidh Mcleod & Rev Ewan Gilchrist & Andy & David Turnbull & Adam Davidson who will also be raising money for the cause. Long Distance Charity Walk – Glasgow to Inverness ( Kelvin Way, West Highland Way & Great Glen Way) In aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and Maggie Centre, Inverness. 30th April to 9th May 2011. A Charity fundraising, long distance walk by Stephen Mackay, in a kilt from the banks of the River Clyde in the Glasgow City Centre to the Raigmore Hospital in Inverness = 185 miles in 10 days. But please do not worry if you can't join him in person as he hopes to make a small film of the event which will be available afterwards and Stephen could arrange a public showing near you if you wish. Proceeds to go to Macmillan Cancer Support and Maggie's Centre Inverness in recognition of the support they and other medical professionals including her GP's have given Pat Mackay over the last 18 months.

Pat successfully carried out her Bucket List Challenge to ride a Zip Wire twice on 1st nov 2011. Footage of the ride in the Film and soon to be posted on You Tube and Face Book.Thanks to Compass Outdoor Centre Glenshee for making this dream happen. Pat sadly lost her courageous fight against Cancer and brain cancer on 10th February 2012. She was an Inspiration to all who met her. Always Loved ... Never Forgotton ! X Thanks, Stephen Mackay. | ||
