Cut Comb Honey

 Subject to availability and demand, our range of cut-comb honey is a consistent favourite among our customers. This can be anything from sections of heather honey (Ling or Bell heather) to packs from our summer honey harvest (Clover, native wildflowers, Blackberry and more...)     

 At certain times of the year, depending on the weather the season brings, we may harvest specialty honey's like Hawthorn or Limeflower.

Preparing Cut Comb Honey

 During the honey harvesting periods, frames of honey, like the one pictured above, that are well formed are excluded from the usual cold-extraction process. They are set aside until they can be examined, and, if indeed they are suitable, they will be sold as cut-comb honey.

The cutting process is obviously a little messy and sticky!

 The darker honey here shows that it is Heather honey, which has full and very aromatic flavouring and is sold marked as "strong", other varieties may go out marked "mild". Below, more Heather honey being prepared...

Bottled Honey

 The honey we have bottled for the retail market is currently of five varieties; Dorset Set & Clear honey, shown above, Salisbury Plain Set & Clear honey, featured below...

...and Heather honey, this is of the Ling Heather type.
