Suilven Pathwork Panels

In 2018 I was awarded the contract to create three, one metre square, handpainted interpretive panels to inform the public about the Suilven Pathwork Project and the work of the Assynt Foundation in the far north west of Sutherland, Scotland

The panels are sited in the Honesty Shop, Glen Canisp, Lochinver.

BOARD 1 focuses on the Suilven Path Repair Project managed by the John Muir Trust.

BOARD 2 focuses on the geology of Suilven with advice from the Noth West Highlands Geopark.

BOARD 3 focuses on the work of the Assynt Foundation.

The text was researched and composed by myself and then skillfully translated into Gaelic by Donald John Morrison of Harris.

                                

I ran art workshops with Achiltibuie and Lochinver primary school pupils from the stunning Art Studio at Glen Canisp Lodge which overlooks iconic Suilven.The artworks the schoolchildren created influenced my finished designs as you can see below.
