Capercaillie Project Extension Spring 2017

One year from installation of the original four capercaillie boards on the footpath trails I was asked to design and paint a further three boards to refresh the project and grab the public's attention once again.

The original boards had been really well recieved by the public and environmental bodies.

Using the pupils original artwork and creative writing I once again drew up life-sized paper drafts that pupils and project partners ammended and approved.

The boards are to be shuffled around Aldie Burn woods every year to create new interest and some may be sited in other Forestry Commission woodlsnd where dogs are disturbing capercaillie nesting sites.
