THE VILLAGE THEATRE

East Kilbride is fortunate to have a superb proscenium arch theatre.  It has a raked auditorium with seating capacity for 318 patrons.  The theatre also has fly tower and a good sized stage - approx 25ft square.  The theatre has a rehearsal room and most performances are supported with licensed bar facilities.

The Village Theatre is situated in the old Village on Maxwell Drive.

The Village Theatre is much used both by professional and amateur companies such as East Kilbride Rep, East Kilbride Light Opera and East Kilbride Gilbert & Sullivan Societies.  Other local groups such as Bookends and Studio 32 perform there and it is a popular venue for annual dance school displays.

EAST KILBRIDE ARTS CENTRE

East Kilbride Arts Centre has something to offer everyone.  As well as an exciting range of courses and classes, there’s a diverse programme of live performances, films and exhibitions.  The diversity of activities available make this a unique facility.

The Centre is also fully equipped with conference facilities for various sizes of events.  In addition, all visitors can enjoy the relaxing surroundings of the Arts Café and gardens.
