JIM DOHERTY
Cumnock Juniors web site report
Everyone involved with Cumnock Juniors were saddened to hear the news of the untimely death of former player Jim Doherty. Jim gained legendary status after forming part of the 1979 Junior Cup winning team, when he famously set up the winning goal. Jim moved from Cumnock to Notts County which shows you the calibre of player he was as transfers like this very rarely occur. The thoughts of everyone connected with the club are with Jim's loved ones at this sad time.
