DOUGLAS COLTS

 COLTS CELEBRATE AT THE SEASIDE

Life was a beach in Blackpool for the young players of Douglas Colts 93's. The boys were victorious in the 2005 Easter Football Tournament held in the English seaside town.  The team, who were only able to play in the tournament thanks to a Lottery grant, defeated teams from across the UK to win the prestigious shield

They defeated Stonehouse 5-4 on penalties in a dramatic final which had been level at 3-3 after regulation time, Scott Reid scoring the decisive shoot-out penalty

The Douglas team were accompanied to England by Coaches Peter Smith, Bobby Ramage, Frank Swords, and Keith Burrell.  The boys also enjoyed the the Pleasure beach and go-karting
