About NCDSW Phoenix Friendship Clubs
NCDSW Phoenix Friendship Club branches provide a safe environment for you to go out and socialise with others in a similar position as yourself and help you to make new friends. We know how difficult it is to go out and meet new people; it is not easy starting again after a divorce, a split or your partner passing away. It may have been years since you went out alone and you are not looking for a relationship, but may look like you are and you don't know anyone else who is single. It can be just as difficult to go out and meet new people for men as well as women and we understand this. If you would like to come to one of our branches but do not want to attend alone, bring a friend or contact us and we can arrange for one of our committee members from the branch to meet you outside the venue. At the Head Office AGM in 2017 a proposal was put forward to rename us the NCDSW Phoenix Friendship Club, thus allowing married couples to join, the only stipulation being that they must attend together to save any marital conflict, this was put to a vote and was unanimously agreed.

A statement by the late President Denise Robertson "I am very proud of the way in which NCDSW supports those struggling to cope with the aftermath of separation, divorce or bereavement. Help from those who have themselves experienced these things is the best help of all. Every member of this organisation knows what you are going through because they have been there themselves and know what it's like to have to begin again. With our help you can make a new happier life."
