The Stan Tuer Outings 2021
Well that’s the third and final evening of the Stan Tuer Tankard outings over for another year. Not a good weather forecast for the night, but once up there it wasn’t too bad for the eight members that ventured out and certainly not a cold night.
The fish were fairly active for some more so than others, with everyone catching and returning a fish. Thirteen fish were recorded for the night.
Best on the night was James Wilson (Popper) with three fish for 4lb 12ozs which included a lovely blue of 2lb 6ozs. Hamish MacRae also took his three fish limit.
Overall winner was Popper, combining with fish from the second night to give him six fish for 7lb 4ozs.
Runner-up was Don Mackay with 4 fish for 6lb 3ozs and third, HamishMacRae with 4 fish for 6lb.
As for the heaviest fish over the three evenings, it was a very tight call with Don Mackay’s fish of 2lb 7ozs on the first night just shading it over Willie Skinner and James Wilson with fish of 2lb 6ozs
followed by Richard Crowther at 2lb 5ozs.
The three evening winners were Don Mackay (June) and James Wilson for July & August)
