Axel

Axel went to live in Newcastle with Scott and Danielle.  Sadly it is a bit far for regular visits, but he lives close to his Dad (Fonzie) and his Sister (Breeze) and I get regular updates on his progress.  Axel now has a new sister, Echo, and loves to run in harness with her.  He also loves to go backpacking with Scott and has achieved his WPD and WPDA titles (Working Pack Dog and Working Pack Dog Advanced).  To achieve the advanced title, Axel and Scott had to walk 80 miles over 1-4 trips of a minimum of 20 miles per day with camping out.  At the start of each walk, Axel's backpack had to weigh at least 30% of his body weight and the weight could only decrease through natural consumption (food and water).  Axel is now working towards his Working Weight Pull Dog and Working Team Dog titles.  It is lovely to hear that he leads such a full and fun life doing jobs he loves to do.
