Malamute vs GSD Hi, we have a lovely 13 yr old shepherd called Lili who is a darling. we've had her since 8 weeks of age, a loyal and gentle girl. Earlier this year we bought a Mal for our son's 21st, a breed he really loved and had researched. Nyla is a barrel of mischief but SO loveable! She has learned the 'house rules' from Lili who has been a patient and able 'teacher'. She is actually quite well mannered now and is our son's constant companion. Strangely, she does go off leash on the beach with Zach but has an inbuilt 'distance monitor' because past a certain point; interesting quarry or not, she ALWAYS comes back to him, something not typical of Malamutes I believe. Love your site, if we ever visit Scotland, may we visit? We live on the East coast of Australia! Posted by on 07 August 2012 your website loved your description on the garden of people who own a malamute, mine resembles a bomb site with plenty of mine holes, he just loves a good dig but its even better when he has his pool to tip over as the mud is so good to dig and roll in. have not long started my lad running ,first time was a nightmare but he has the hang of it now and just to see his face light up when he see's the harness is amazing. i also agree about small furry things not being safe so far he has managed to catch rabbits and mice no matter if you are on the end of the lead or not, though luckily i only need to tell him to leave it and they have escaped to live another day. keep up the good work.xx Posted by wendy boyd on 22 January 2012 Website Hey!! =] Just a quick message to say how much I enjoyed your site! After visiting you with my family and spending time with yourself and beautiful dogs I managed to lose your contact details - new phone but when I put the sim card across instead of swapping details it deleted them. I searched for your website but it was no longer available. Every so often I have searched Crystal creek but the links were always to a breeder in Colorado or your old site. So sorry to hear about Kodi. How are Star, Jade and the others? Having met your dogs we are still looking at getting a pup however I have been drawn back to the Shepherds by seeing just how alike yours are to my last one.
