Did I say I liked Shinty?!

There isn't much that I really miss very badly or that makes me wish I was back home, but a Newtonmore Kingussie Camanachd cup semi final is one of those things. 

My cousin Dorothy was at the game and promised to keep me up to date on progress, unfortunately I was driving in an area that was not going to allow the updates to arrive until after the game had finished.  We were beaten 3-2 and by all reports we should have won.  Its tough to come so close, outplay your opponents and walk off the park defeated, nothing can be said to console you or make you feel better apart from a family size dram and maybe more than one! 

I wish the team good luck for the final of the Macauly, I am sure they will win and the victories are long overdue and deserved for the hard work and effort they put in on a Sat aft and midweek training.  

It was a long sat after hearing that result but my dispatcher kept me busy, drop my trailer at the yard in Steinbach and collect a 7 droper for BC last drop on Vancouver island but Chad didn't think I would be going over there thankfully, as the driver pays for the ferry which is only about $600 and gets it refunded or if he can find somewhere that will cash a t cheque he has that option.  Don't think I would of been going!! 

Went to get my mail at the post box I have, tied my load down and headed west.  I have never run east to west before and this is a good run 1500miles back to the yard and 1600miles to my last drop in BC from Steinbach a small consolation but I needed a drink and couldn't get one apart from water no consolation!
