Dr Melanie Windridge will be giving a free public lecture on a topic of great interest to many skywatchers in the north of Scotland - the Northern Lights.

The event will take place in Thurso High School on Thursday 1st September.....

Dr Windridge briefly visited the north of Scotland last year whilst carrying out research for her book "Aurora - In Search of the Northern Lights". CAG were lucky enough to spend some time with her discussing our experiences viewing this natural phenomenon. We even managed to enjoy some clear skies and faint display from a popular local viewing spot. Those that read her book will find some Caithness related stories and photos in it.
