ECLIPSE OBSERVING LOCATION UPDATE:
@2150hrs on 19th March - after much deliberation, and trying to figure out where gaps in the cloud might materialise tomorrow morning, we have decided to head for the Clan Gunn Museum in Latheron (https://goo.gl/maps/bZiCc) in time for the start of the eclipse (0830hrs).
We will look at the forecast again early tomorrow morning, so check back here before setting off to the rendezvous point. Note that we may relocate from Latheron after getting there if that enables us to find a gap in the clouds.
@1815hrs on 19th March - As you'll be aware the forecast for the morning of the 20th March is not looking too promising, with lots of cloud predicted. We're currently assessing the weather forecast info and will post an update later this evening.

See details below for the events CAG will be holding in relation to the partial solar eclipse on Friday 20th March.
Our first choice location for observing the eclipse on the 20th March is Duncansby Head. However we'll be checking the weather forecast in the days leading up to the event, and make a final decision on the location then. So if interested in joining us check back nearer the time to find out where we'll be hoping to observe the eclipse.
