From half day tutorials to comprehensive ten week night classes.

So if you're just visiting, or live in the area and would like to have a go at something new or develop an interest you already have, take a look at our courses menu.

Have A Go - Half day tutorial 3 hours

A fun and interesting morning or afternoon for those who want to have a go at woodturning.

You will learn;

How to use a selection of tools
Create your very own wooden bowl or platter to proudly take away with you at the end of your time with us.

The sessions lasts for 3 hours at;

£55-00 for one person OR £95 for a 2 person booking

Maximum 2 people

Beginners Full Day Tutorial

A fun and interesting day for those who are interested in learning how to turn.

You will learn;

How to sharpen tools
Setting up the lathe
Bowl turning and spindle turning

At the end of the day you can leave having produced a bowl or platter, a mushroom and bottle stopper.

The day comprises of 2 three hour sessions;

9.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-4.30pm + 1 hour for lunch which is provided (details of special dietary requirements will be required in advance)

£120-00 for 1 person (inc. lunch, tea/coffee) OR

£210 for 2 people (inc. lunch, tea/coffee)

1 Day Courses

Courses are available on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

These courses are designed for those who have some prior knowledge of woodturning.

The day comprises of 2, three hour sessions; 9.30am-12.30pm amd 1.30pm-4.40pm + 1 hour for lunch which is provided (details of special dietary requirements will be required in advance when booking)

Please note that all safety equipment is provided.

1. Turning wooden fruit Fee £120

This course looks at the techniques and methods involved in making and decorating a variety of wooden fruits.

Students will leave with their completed project.

2. Stool making Fee £135

This is a short introductive course into stool making. It looks at the design and techniques used in making stools.

Students will leave with a three legged milking stool of their own design.

3. Natural edge turning Fee £120

This course covers the making of vases and bowls, with the inclusion of bark and other natural features as part of the design and decoration.

Students will leave with a natural edged piece of their own design.
