“Christmas is just around the corner and while our hedgehogs might have taken the (I would suggest VERY WISE) decision to sit this time of year out in a deep snooze - we are thrust into celebration!
One of the stresses of this time of year is WHAT - WHAT can I get my friends and relatives - because it needs to be something that is special and won't be just thrown away ... so ... May I direct you to the wonderful world of the British Hedgehog Preservation Society - and their calendar! It is full of the cutest of hedgehogs ... and raises money for the charity ... so, what is not to love!
But if you need more ... there is an entire BHPS shop! All the money the shop makes gets fed back into the charity. So - I have helped solve your gift-decisions ... and together we have helped hedgehogs!
Obviously, there may still be some of you who have not grabbed my hedgehog (and other) books yet - and it would be remiss of me not to suggest you give it a go - in fact the lovely Hedgehog Book I did with Graffeg you can get from the BHPS! Which means it is the BHPS who benefits.
A Prickly Affair is available from your local bookshop (I hope) - but if you have not the capacity to get to one and ask, then follow the link to the tax dodgers.
I have a special piece to write for Monday - did not want clutter that with this - which will feature an update on a long running Hedgehog Highway campaign - and also a chance for you all to get involved in making a decision ...
Until then - have a lovely weekend - I am just about clear of the lingering after-effects of that damn virus (that was a horrible experience) - and am currently having a late visit with my mother (had to miss her birthday and our 21st anniversary of meeting!)”
