An exhibition of ‘Algal Art’ - looks interesting…
Folk still describe seaweed as tangle, but I remember an Orcadian explaining to me why Warebeth Beach has that name -
“It's the place where ware (seaweed) was gathered. And the pronunciation - which is almost gone now, was always ‘were-bith’.”
I’d been spelling it wrong….

….Mike had what he calls ‘The Whirling Pits’ in the night – he rested on Wednesday and Thursday, but his blood pressure was higher than it should be on Thursday evening. I got distressed about this – and Mike made a very good analogy between weather and climate.
As far as his health is concerned – the ups and downs are the weather – but the overall climate is improving and settling down.
Can’t help saying unlike the climate and weather in the world, but a good analogy for what’s happening in our personal lives.
I thought I’d post this in m’blog, for if the idea helps anyone else in a similar situation in their life.
