Perverting the course of justice and inciting a criminal act (changed by Superintendent Tim Godwin to “other neglect of failure in duty”)
Inspector Cate Webb-Jones (Criminal Justice and Investigation Manager) has since dismissed this complaint on the grounds that it does not contain any "new and compelling evidence". This is not true - it contains the transcript of a telephone conversation (not produced before) in which PC Gordon deliberately makes a false claim. This complaint also refers to further evidence that was available to Inspector Webb-Jones but which she did not ask to see.
This was NOT a thorough, independent and impartial investigation, but an attempt to cover up PC Gordon's dishonesty.
