Marlin SH505 Jumbo Acoustic
I bought this Japanese made jumbo acoustic in 1979. the top part of the fretboard is a bit worn out but I wont ever part with this guitar.

 Fred onthe Marlin I came across my weekly payments book from 1979 for my Japanese Marlin SH505 bought on credit from Gough and Davy Hull (they are still there). This has mellowed well, and of course Japanese guitars are no longer a cheap alternative to USA. the ad is for an electric but shows the importing firms name. I doubt that that was the best seller in the UK!! You will note that the headstock has no name. It is of course a straight copy of a Martin. Pics taken I think early 2000s are all a bit fuzzy. A bit like my playing .... |

 Dad Riffin on the Marlin Jumbo Acoustic The board at Frets 1 to about 4 are getting pretty worn down, and it has a small ding in the bottom side where I got careless. I thought of having it sorted, but have quite a few guitars so will just keep this one as it is. |
