 Proposed boundary commission changes

Please note that under recent proposals from  the Boundary Commission for England the parliamentary constituency of Edmonton will disappear.  The suggestion is to put Upper Edmonton into the constituency of Tottenham.

Bowes is also being taken out of Enfield/Southgate and put into Wood Green/Hornsey

It is very important that residents contact the Boundary Commission to oppose this, as who knows where it may lead in the future.

Please contact the Boundary Commission to voice your opposition - deadline for comments is 5th December 2011 and send a copy to your current MP - Andy Love.

Address :  The Boundary Commission for England, 35 Great Smith Street, London, SW1 3BQ

You can also email :  reviews@bcommengland.x.gsi.gov.uk or comment via the website at consultationboundarycommissionforengland.independent.gov.uk

Burglaries
26 November 2011

There has been a large increase in burglaries to the south of the North Circular Road in the past two weeks.

With the dark evenings the Police advice is ensure that:

  • your house has a light on that can be seen from the outside
  • the curtains drawn
  • the radio playing if you are out after dark
  • all doors and windows securely fastened.

A time switch is very useful as it can be set to switch the light on as darkness falls.

Christmas presents, etc. should not be on show where they can be seen from the outside of the house.
