Our ‘Wish List’

Future projects that the Trust hopes to commission for young people with learning disabilities, ASD, Asperger’s Syndrome and ADHD include:

• Working with other schools / providers and the local community enabling them to gain greater understanding.   This may include peer workshops/mentors and the development of training packages.
• Assisting in funding support arrangements for young people on work experience / college placements.
• Social skills, life skills and travel training packages for young people particularly at transition stages (ages 11, 14, 16 & 19).
• Resources/materials/packages/websites for parents .
• Assisting in staffing costs for specialist counselling and access to art, music, & drama therapy.
• Raising funds to enable advocacy groups to work with young people with special education needs.
• Specialist advice and support for the delivery of Enterprise education across the school e.g. helping to set up and fund a ‘Young Enterprise’ scheme.
