We had a great evening at a quiz night organised by the staff of Pets at Home Wick in conjuction with Support Adoption for Pets in the Francis Street Club for the equal benefit of KWK9 Rescue and Cats Protection Caithness branch. We would like to thank the staff of Pets at Home who organised and ran the evening.
The quiz was very well attended with a good number of teams. Both KWK9 Rescue and Cats Protection had teams and we trust that both were pleased with their results.
We were delighted that our local MSP Gail Ross also attended with a team. We are very grateful to Gail for her generous donation to both charities. Following her election as MSP for Caithness, Sutherland and Ross, Gail has continued in her role as Councillor for this area. She made the decision to donate the salary for her Councillor role to charity each month. We are very grateful and honoured to say that this month Gail has donated that salary equally to KWK9 Rescue and Cats Protection. It is heartening to know that our elected representative supports local charities in this way.
We also received a donation of £380 from Faith Bramley who participated in the Tough Mudder on 25 June and split the sponsorship money she received between KWK9 rescue and Cats Protection. We are not only very grateful but extremely impressed. Well done Faith.
