The following note was received at the club following the Gala Dinner at the recent National Conference held in Southport. Hopefully it shows that there is more to the club than just speaking!

"A message to the trio of dancers from Garstang Ladies SC, from the disc jockey at the Saturday dinner (the chap in the gorgeous Edwardian jacket).

Thanks for helping to make the evening go with such a swing. You made my evening so much easier with your many requests. I know you want to remain anonymous in case your husbands find out how much you enjoyed yourselves wothout them, so I shall not mention who you are. But I wanted your club to know how supportive you had been to the dancing. The dancing was meant to finish at midnight, which is why I played Old Lang Syne then. But at 1 o'clock we really did have to call it a day!"

We know who the three were and will maintain their anonymity but reserve the right to hold it over them should negotiations be required in the future
