Ted Williams's CV

(Edward Stephen Bruce) "Ted" Williams, Brigadier of the Rifle Brigade, was the son of Major General Sir Hugh Bruce Bruce-Williams, KCB, DSO (1865-1942) of Crowborough, and Mabel Heward.  Ted was born 02.11.1892 in Pinhoe, Devon.

Ted was educated at Winchester College, then in Infantry Company, Royal Military Academy, Woolwich.
He moved on to Staff College (psc); RN Staff College (ns); MA by decree Oxon (1934).

Ted had married 1st (14.04.1925) Elizabeth Frances Chadwyck-Healey (born Q3 1892 in Marylebone).

She was the daughter of Sir Charles Edward Healey Chadwyck-Healey, 1st Bt. and Frances Katharine Wait, who were married in Q2 1884 in Barton Regis, Glocs.

After eight years of marriage, in Q1 1934, following a riding accident in Oxford, she died childless aged 41.
