124 George Clay 1748-

The third son of Thomas Clay of Merrybower, George was baptised at Barrow 22 August 1748.

He is mentioned in his father's Will, see half-way down the page here.

On 11th December 1771 he married Mary Hutchinson; they had these children :-

1 2 4 2 Francis Hutchinson Clay, b.1775 who married Elisabeth / Eliza Cheslyn on 16 January 1804 in Eastwood, Notts, and they had a son:-
    George Francis Hastings Clay, 1805–1891 of whom we know nothing.

Sarah Hallam Clay, b.1776 of whom we know nothing.
