Stan or Stuart to his family died as the result of a road accident when the 3 tonner in which he was a passenger left the road returning from Nairobi whilst avoiding an annimal. One of the REME section who all proved popular with the Cameronians MT lads, especially with his Jerry Lewis impersonation as remembered fondly by Dick Shearer who shared a billet with him and Craftsman Nutty Slack and Craftsman Platt. Dad sent a picture back to gran saying he had been on a rotten job that day whilst Alex Maxwell who was on the firing party remembered it with sadness.

Dick was not in attendance at the funeral as he was duty driver in the orderley roo that day, later taking the oficer to collect the cards to send home to Stuart's family. They still remember him with fondness and honoured the Cameronians still remember Stuart.

Alex Maxwell one of our mmbers was in the firing party that sad day as he recalls, whilst Neil Shaw remembered with fondness tsking part in a talent contest with Stuart.

Stuart's niece Janet came across our side and is delighted the Cameronians still remember him fondly.

Any further help would be greatly accepted.
