STARS

If all stars gave out the same amount of light, and were at the same distance from Earth, they would all look equally bright. But all stars are different, and some are much further away than others. Stars are not randomly sprinkled throughout the universe. They are grouped in galaxies, which each contain billions of stars. Our Solar System forms a tiny part of a galaxy called the Milky Way.
