Training

When and Where?

Training sessions for the Men's and Women's Teams take place every week at the University's outdoor training facilities at Stepps, currently running from 5 pm until 6.30 pm

The first session is free, so come along and give it a go. If Shinty seems like the game for you, all that is required is an annual membership of the Sports Union - a mere £25 to join all 44 clubs in the Sports Union.

Equipment

As training is on an astroturf pitch, astroturf boots are recommended, however trainers are fine. Shinguards are also recommended. Sticks and balls are provided, although if you have a stick please bring it along. Helmets are encouraged, please bring them along if you have one.

Outdoor Facilities

The University outdoor facilities are located at Stepps (see directions below). Meet outside the Union at 4.30 pm on a Tueday to take the number 36 bus

The entrance to the playing fields is approx 100 metres down on the left

From Stirling

Travelling on the A80, approach the roundabout for the Stepps Bypass just after the Crowwood Hotel on your right. At the roundabout go straight ahead for local traffic to Stepps.
