Let's Support Woodland Trust's Emergency Plan
by Ashby Rambler - 10:58 on 28 January 2020
The Rambler, I assure you, doesn't actually 'talk to the trees' nor does he hug them but he does enjoy his walks in the woods and watching the many indigenous trees in our local hedgerows change with the seasons.
Clearly, protecting and managing these surviving woods and individual trees is essential and the planting of more trees is a relatively economical measure which not only enhances our landscape and provides a habitat for diverse flora and fauna but also gives us a fighting chance of slowing climate change for future generations.
