Our Vocational Service team aims to use the wide range of vocational skills and experience amongst Anstruther rotarians for the benefit of the community - and particularly for young people.

We support a programme that provides dictionaries to Primary schools and we also arrange an inter-primary school quiz - both locally and at regional levels.

Rotary’s primary schools quiz has proved to be very popular and typically sees more than 550 schools from across Scotland taking part, with many pupils involved and with schools holding quizzes regularly in preparation.

'Euroscola' is also an interesting opportunity that is supported by Anstruther Rotary and has proved to be extremely popular with the young people who have been selected to take part. It is a programme that has been supported over many years by Rotary throughout Scotland.

Euroscola provides for sixth-year secondary school pupils from European countries to visit the European Parliament and to take part in group work and presentations that involve working in French. This is an unique opportunity to both work with and to enjoy fellowship with young people from around Europe. 26 young people will again be selected to represent Scotland at the February 2012 Euroscola even in Strasbourg. Information for pupils is available here in a PDF document.
