Well that was an odd ride - split into 3 groups before even leaving Westcott - Paul and Huw were just saying how flat my back tyre was when suddenly Paul's crank came clean off the bike. I stopped to put air in my tyre and as I unscrewed the dust cap the core of the valve came out. I decieded to head home to use my track pump and left Mike George and Paul to sort out Pauls crank. Meanwhile Matt Duncan, Rich and the new guy who were in front had no idea of the chaos behind them.

I got home and had a call from Matt saying they were up by Wotton Church, I mended my tyre and set off again passing Paul who was limping one pedeled home to Dorking have failed to do a trail side fix. I didn't see any one else all teh way to the Plough where I stopped to watch the football. George, Huw and Mike arrived shortly afterwards then sometime after that Duncan and Matt turned up - I have no idea what happened to Rich and the new guy - all in all a ride to forget but the beer was good and the footie ok. We all left together and went back home on the black stuff.
