Hello and welcome to 'Mountain Biking Surrey Hills' home of the 'Dorking Cocks'

This site is based around our group of bikers who come from Dorking and its surrounding area - we've all met up over the years through riding, racing, friends of friends and our local bike shop, Nirvana Cycles in Westcott.

Sometimes we enter races and events, sometimes we take weekends away but mostly we ride in the beautiful Surrey Hills at weekends and on the regular Wednesday night ride.

Leaving Nirvana at 6.30 ish every Wednesday every week throughout the year is our most regular ride. With anything from 3 to 15 people turning up these rides are well supported and great fun. We always have a pub stop from about 9 to 10 meaning we get back to Westcott at 10.30 to 11. The rides are varied and fairly quick covering anything between 15 and 25 miles depending on the route, weather, trail conditions etc.

Having been riding this area since the late 80's we have extensive trail knowledge with Huw and Toby in particular leading the rides. We try to vary routes but as with everybody we have our particular favourites that get used far more  frequently than others.

As well as all the local riding, members of our group can be found all over the country and beyond taking part in events. From the Trans Alps and Trans Rockies,  to SSMM and Strathpuffer 24hr races. From Trans Wales and Trans Scotland to the Cheddar Challange and Merida 100's. We also have several weekends away visiting the various trail centres for plenty of riding and beer in Wales and Scotland.
