Chris Crofts sent us home with some interesting 'supertwisted' yarn to experiment with.  The first tie with this extra-twisted yarn has now been completed, and it is extremely nice.  We thought the rug wool was crisp and special: this supertwist is MUCH crisper and lighter over all.  It makes a beautiful tie, with almost a polished finish.

This is the first of the supertwist: it is a very dark moss green, quite beautiful in daylight.  Clearly the base yarn was either DARK or EXTRA DARK before the dyeing process.

The finished tie is very slightly narrower than the rug wool models, but nowhere near being a "bootlace tie" - this is still a chunky country product!
