Harlequin!

Given that one ball of rug wool is larger than one HerdwickyTIE, a collection of oddments is growing.  The fingers are itching to try a combination tie, but the moral courage to embark upon the project has not yet been found....

...it should be possible to make horizontal stripes of contrasting colours....

...or perhaps even an "ombre" tie in the natural Herdwick shades?
