We are still waiting to hear if Aidan Turner will model our ties for us, but in the meantime we are trying a few experiments to give you an idea of the tie in context.  The model is only 5'6" and very shy about being photographed.

Ideally, of course, we would be modelling these in the glorious countryside, but today it is raining....

MOSS supertwist
MOSS supertwist
Cool and unfathomable, we think this one is a truly enigmatic tie. With the crispness of the yarn and the depth of the colour, this is eminently wearable at any occasion.

... and here is a close-up of the Westmorland Knot. Definitely a knot to be reckoned with - nothing pinched, skinny or limp about this one! It is very simply a vehicle to hold your tie in place and show the wool to best advantage.
Three ties in EXTRA DARK
Three ties in EXTRA DARK
This was an experiment with a skinny tie (see NEWS, 31 August 2019). The three are, from left to right:

EXTRA DARK, supertwist - sharp for the city?
EXTRA DARK, traditional - Herdwick to tie for...
EXTRA DARK, supertwist and skinny - doesn't have as much character as the others
MIDNIGHT SKY!
MIDNIGHT SKY!
A really useful tie, this one: formal, but classy and - because it is real wool - still relaxed.
