Aviemore Mountain Resort 

Set in the middle of the Cairngorms Nature Reserve, Aviemore is about a 30 minute car journey from Clava and is  Britain's premier skiing and mountain sports resort.

Aviemore is an all year round resort with dry ski slope for the summer months and excellent skiing conditions in the winter. With the mountain top restaurant reached by vernacular railway even the not so adventurous can enjoy the thrill and splendour of the Cairngorm Mountain Range. 

You can also give the mountain a break and enjoy a ride on the Strathspey Steam Railway which runs between Aviemore and Boat of Garten and while there, visit the wonderful 1896 Gallery and Coffee Shop, or enjoy an afternoon's fishing on the River Spey or a walk round nearby Inshriach Alpine Nursery.

Loch Morlich Watersports and Landmark Adventure Park  

If water sports are more your thing then why not stop and enjoy the canoeing, kayaking, sailing and windsurfing facilities on the beautiful Loch Morlich set at the base of the Cairngorm Mountain Range, and also at Loch Insch, on the way to Kingussie.

Take the scenic route back to Clava and stop at the quaint village of Carrbridge with it's 300 year old bridge and which is also the home of Landmark Adventure Park where you can spend hours filled with fun, discovery and adventure.
