Strathcona Golf Course, Thunder Bay

In Thunder bay there are 3 courses.  I chose Strathcona golf course because it was only 5min from where I was staying.

A warm afternoon in the low 80s paid my green fees at the pro shop, stocked up on some fluids and walked on to the tee, nobody in front, no one behind.  It is a  public course and was in pretty good condition, fairways a wee bit patchy in places greens quite soft and a reasonable pace for putting, possible to attack the hole but greens firm enough for the ball to run off if no spin on the ball. 

The 4th hole fairway was being repaired which was the only thing that let the course down, if you could call making improvements a let down, I don't.  I didn't play very well going out the short game letting me down and found myself at the turn 3 over.  I think the back 9 was better than the front 9 maybe because I started to play better and was 1 under for that 9 holes. 

A very enjoyable round some lovely holes and plenty of variety definately a recomended course and I hope to play there again.  If you are lucky some local wildlife might come and join you!
