Flying J'sDue to a company policy of fueling up where possible at Flying J's, the majority of truck stops I will be commenting on will be these.
Unfortunately, they are all pretty much the same, same look, same menu, same layout ,same same same shame shame.
Why are companys so obsessed with doing this? Why can't each place have its own uniqueness, add a certain amount of appeal and attractiveness local to that state or local town?
Visit Dave Gormans site detailing his 'America Unchained' trip from coast to coast. His plan was simple, Go to America. Buy a second hand car. Drive coast to coast without giving any money to The Man™. The only differences are quality of service cleanliness of restrooms,showers and the availability of parking. My experience is if its after 6pm you will be lucky to get a parking space at a Flying J. If you will be going to the Flying Js frequently, order a loyalty card to build up points enabling you to get money off vouchers that can be used to pay for your food or internet wi-fi acess while you are parked up.
