The melee on the 26th of April was extra festive as it was also a birthday celebration for Ray Williams!  On a cold but bright evening 12 people gathered for the mêlée (our numbers boosted considerably by visitors from the Wheatsheaf), with Jean, Jackie and Jackie wisely opted for huddling in the lee of the wall or hiding indoors, whilst Basil, Simon, Tansy, Paul, Mike, Keith, Dave, Colin and Ray himself  braved the arctic wind.  We played 2 rounds – and the only person to win both games was Raymundo himself earning him a bottle of wine to celebrate with.  Jackie laid on some food – sausages and chilli and a cracking apple tart – which was a tasty end to the evening – but also helped thaw out the boulers.   Thanks Jackie – and Happy Birthday Ray!
