The WPA doubles was played at Monkstone, Penylan in weather that was thoroughly rotten, even by this year’s standards!  In the cold and wet, RFC players Pat Daviss (paired with Dan Murphy), Kon Tomczyk (with Phil Bradshaw), Tansy Mayfield (with Jesse Lipitz-Robic), and Peter Beresford (with Stewart Spencer) took to the piste to battle it out for the title.  Jesse & Tansy could not capture their form from the mixed doubles, and only one game in the morning, as did Pat.  Peter did a little better in his group winning 2, whilst Kon won all 3 games in his group.  The Plate competition was abandoned in the rotten weather, but Kon and Peter played on in the quarters of the Main. Kon and Phil continued their excellent form, making it to the Final, and missing out narrowly on the title.
