Cycling

The Cuckoo trail, a 13 mile off road track along a disused railway line from Heathfield to Eastbourne Park; one of the most popular family cycles in the S.East. www.sustrans.org.uk/sustrans-near-you

Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest is excellent for cycling, walking, horse riding, adventure play and Go Ape on the high wires! It offers both easy and challenging mountain bike routes. www.forestry.gov.uk/bedgebury

Romney Marsh is a sparsely populated area of wetlands covering 100 square miles, just 5 mins drive from Rye. It is best known for its sheep, smuggling in olden times and its recently installed wind turbines ...however it offers some superb cycling along quiet, scenic and extremely flat lanes! I have some routes from 15 - 30 miles, but you can also try www.whitecliffscountryside.org.uk
