This buck had been chasing a doe who had managed to give him the slip. As he was tracking back along the hedge looking for her he stopped dead in his tracks when he spied me hiding in the verge.

Whilst walking one evening I happened across this pair of roe deer enjoying the last of the evening sun.

Evening Falls
This was taken just as the sun had gone down. This roebucks companion was a female fallow. This is unusual as they don`t crossbreed. You can just see her lying down to the left of the shot. They left together when they realised I was there.
