Update for cancelled May 2020 Half Yearly meeting
Matters arising from AGM
Area reps needed for all roads previously mentioned, except for The Fairway
Chequers Way parking - The one hour no parking opposite Chequers Parade has been agreed but unfortunately was not put in place before lockdown
Boundary Commission - Details in Secretary's report in magazine
114 Pasteur Gardens - There is now an outstanding planning application to convert the property into 2 x houses, including both single and 2 storey extensions
Handrails leading to W6 bus stop - One handrail has been replaced. Previously there were two - one each side of the steps
Ostliffe Road drain - Work has been carried out recently, which we think has solved the problem, but will check once it rains.
Overhanging foliage from Pasteur Gardens field - Haringey Council did not respond. Enfield Council cut the foliage back and will charge Haringey accordingly.
Bins outside Oakthorpe Court - Rubbish collection here is still irregular, as it is for the flats behind Empire Parade.
A new bus route no 456 is proposed to run from Crews Hill to North Midd Hospital via Enfield Town, Winchmore Hill, Fox Lane and Silver Street. It will run every 30 mins on Monday to Saturday and every 60 mins on Sunday.
Fencing at the front of 72 Carlton Terrace - A planning application for this has been refused.
Bus selling kebabs at 150 Bridport Road - Te owners did not have permnission to sell hot food and were instructed to remove the bus by end March. The bus is still in place, but they do not appear to be trading from it. Further enforcement action will be taken once Council Officerfs can work normally again.
Private landlords licensing scheme - This was due to come into effect in September and hopefully will not be delayed. This scheme should ensure that landlords take responsibility for their tenants and will allow the Council to employ a much larger number of enforcement officers
